Helen Ansell drawing the Raffle
We were blessed with beautiful weather for the May Day Fete on May 1st 2022. There were many aspects to the day including a Car Boot Sale, Market Stalls, Art Exhibition, Devonshire Teas, May Pole Dances, and the drawing of the Car Raffle.
The car was won by a Perth couple Margaret and Eric Muller who have been keen followers of John Hawes for many years and had been in Geraldton on a Hawes Heritage Trail Pilgrimage with the Bateman Parish in 2021. Details of the draw can be seen by clicking here.
Helen Ansell, an acclaimed artist from Mullewa, held an Art Exhibition and Merchandise Stall which was well patronised.
Nadeem Tukyah served Middle Eastern delights on his food stall, giving customers a taste of what to expect when he opens Laian’s Cafe at the Monsignor Hawes Heritage Centre.
A highlight of the day was the May Pole Dance performed by 12 students of All Things Dance.
