The Mullewa Church Precinct Project was launched on Saturday 18th April 2026, and is an initiative of Monsignor Hawes Heritage Incorporated (MHHI) to transform the Mullewa Church Precinct, consisting of two of John Hawes’ most significant buildings, the Church of Our Lady of Mt Carmel and the Most Holy Apostles Peter and Paul and The Priesthouse.

This project will not only conserve these buildings but also enhance the enjoyment of tourists and visitors to these internationally recognised heritage treasures for generations to come.
