Perenjori to Morawa

  • The Perenjori/Morawa Route is new territory for the Camino and will take us to 3 unique Hawes buildings -  two churches and the Priest's Lodge in Morawa. 

  • Depending on the winter rains, it promises to take in some beautiful wildflower country. 

  • The group will be based at the Perenjori Caravan Park where they will have a choice of accommodation options from camping under the stars  to powered sites to cabins with ensuites.

  • There are also Single or QS rooms at the Perenjori Hotel for $100 per night with shared bathroom facilities.  

  • Participants will have the option of travelling by Camino Coach from Geraldton to Perenjori, or making their own way to Perenjori to check in by 4:00 Friday 26th.

  •   The walk will begin at St Joseph's  Church  Perenjori on Saturday 27th  and finish at the Church of the Holy Cross in  Morawa on Sunday 28th.    Walkers will be transported back to Perenjori by coach for overnight stay on Saturday afternoon.

  • Those who have brought their own transport will be transported back to Perenjori on Sunday afternoon to collect their vehicles.

Day 1 Friday 26th July


  • 12:05 p.m.  Mass is celebrated in SFX Cathedral if you would like to attend (this is optional). 
  • 12:45 pm Check in at The Hermitage Car Park 50 Onslow St Geraldton
  • Load luggage into trailer/coach
  • 1:30 p.m. Depart from The Hermitage  for Perenjori


  •  4:00  p.m. Check in at Perenjori Caravan Park
  • 4:45 p.m. Walk to  St Joseph's Church for Welcome and Presentation of Shells and Passports
  • 5:40 p.m.  Walk to Perenjori Hotel for Dinner
  • 7:30  p.m. Gather at  Caravan Park for socialising and light dessert.

Day 2 Saturday 27th July

 Perenjori Church to Bowgada
20.4 kms 
  • 6:30 a.m. Mass in St Joseph's Church (optional)
  • 7:00 a.m. Breakfast supplied at Perenjori Parish Centre
  • 8:00 a.m. Begin Camino at St Joseph's Church Perenjori 
  • Lunch stop along the way.
  • Continue to Bowgada Wheat Bin 
  • Coach transport back to Perenjori Caravan Park
  • 6:00 p.m. Roast Dinner served at Perenjori Hotel. 
  • 7:30 p.m.  Socialising/Dessert at Caravan Park


Day 3 Sunday 28th July

From Norton Rd Koolanooka 
to Morawa Church and Priest's Lodge
  • 6:30  a.m. Breakfast served at Caravan Park
  • 7:30 a.m. Pack up 
  • 8:00 a.m. Depart by Coach to starting point for Camino Day 2.
  • Walk to Holy Cross Church and Priest's Lodge Morawa  with lunch stop along the way.
  • 2:45 p.m. Mass, Stamping of Passports and presentation of Camino certificates.


  • 4:00 p.m. Depart Morawa by coach for return to Geraldton by approx. 6:00 p.m.


  • 4:00 p.m. Bus departs for Perenjori to return walkers to their vehicles.




  • Coach Travel between venues

  • Breakfast Daily  (Supplied by Perenjori Roadhouse)

  • Lunch daily (supplied by Perenjori Roadhouse).

    (We will be asking for your food selections prior to the

  • Fruit

  • Roast Dinner  & Dessert Saturday night

  • Pilgrim's Shell and Passport

  • Transportation of luggage and equipment

  • Support vehicle and Portaloo accompanying  walkers on
    most sections of the walk.  

  • Bottled water along the route.

  • Accommodation
