A group of 38 Pilgrims responded to the call from the leaders at the Willetton Parish to join a Pilgrimage of the Hawes Heritage Trail in September 2021. The tour, conducted by Hawes Heritage Events under the leadership of Fr Robert Cross and Gerry Eastman, gave the participants the chance to view the works of Monsignor John Hawes and to gain an insight into the amazing personality and spirituality of the man behind the buildings. The group was able to participate in Masses in the crypt of St Francis Xavier Cathedral and Our Lady of Ara Coeli in Northampton and also took in some of the natural beauty spots in the surrounding areas including the Skywalk at Kalbarri, the Pin Lake at Port Gregory and the wreath flowers at Pindar. The 2 1/2 day tour culminated with Vigil Mass at St Francis Xavier Cathedral and a dinner in the Monsignor Hawes Heritage Centre.
