As part of the inaugural Shore Leave Festival, Hawes Heritage Events hosted a candlelight concert in St Francis Xavier Cathedral featuring The Fremantle Chamber Orchestra with Concert Master Rachael Aquilina, and Jacinta Jacovcevic from St Mary’s Cathedral in Perth on Organ. The Programme included some well known classics which enthralled the capacity audience. One of the best received was Eine Kleine Nachmustik Serenade No 13 in G Major.
Hawes Heritage Events is grateful to their sponsors who assisted with the costs incurred and especially to Peter Kenyon of Bank of Ideas for donating 4 tickets which were taken up by the Deputy CEO of the Shire of Northampton Grant Middleton and his wife Liz as well as Wendy Dallywater the Environmental Health Officer from the Northampton, Shire and Fr Larry Rodillas the Northampton Parish Priest. They were all on the forefront of the Cyclone Seroja disaster and were thrilled to be able to enjoy such a welcome relief from the daily grind of coping with the aftermath of the Cyclone.
Thanks also to Hans Hug from the Fremantle Chamber Orchestra who worked tirelessly with the Shore Leave Committee and Hawes Heritage Events to make this happen.
