A group of 37 Pilgrims led by Fr Phong from the Parish of St Thomas More travelled to Geraldton in late August to discover the Hawes Heritage Trail and the man behind the buildings. Their 21/2 day itinerary took them to the various Hawes buildings in Geraldton as well as Our Lady of Fatima in Nanson, St James in Kojarena, Our Lady of Ara Coeli in Northampton and the sites in Mullewa. The Masses in the crypt of the Cathedral, Our Lady of Ara Coeli in Northampton and Our Lady of Mt Carmel in Mullewa were a highlight of the tour and gave the pilgrims the chance to connect on a spiritual level to the Hawes story. They were also treated to a visit to the Skywalk in Kalbarri, The Pink Lake at Port Gregory and the wreath flowers at Pindar.
