The Camino San Francisco held on the 29th-31st July  was based in Yuna Western Australia and on Day 1 covered the natural heritage of the East Yuna Nature Reserve and Noondamurra Pool.  Mass was celebrated on the McGauran Property at the site of the 1st Mass in East Yuna which was said by Hawes.  He often visited this property as he shared a great love of nature with the owner.

On Day 2 the 32 walkers were transported by bus to Mullewa, the heartland of Hawes’ ministry, and walked through farming property to Mass Rock, the Pioneer Cemetery, the Hawes Heritage Walk and Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church where Mass was celebrated and the parish priest Fr Robert O’Bryan handed out the Camino Certificates.

This was a very highly rated Camino with perfect weather and a great group of walkers who enjoyed each others company and the opportunity to walk through nature with like minded people.
